Life is full of unexpected surprises.
Justin told me a few days ago that it has been exactly a year since he decided to try to befriend me. The fall semester of 2008 was almost over before I caught on that something new was happening in my life. I chuckle now... in early fall 2008 I was wondering if I would ever find someone!! My mother chided me, "You are only 19, a little early to despair!!!"
I knew she was right, but from my point of view the only young men I knew were, well, very strange... to say the least. Not what I was looking for!!

And to think that amid my "despair" someone was watching!
I had worried (foolishly) that my large family, our homeschooling ways, and unusual conservative standards would not endear me to anyone. Yet, those were the very things that caused Justin to notice. He said that he noticed our family was different and that we had high standards... and that was exactly what he was looking for.

So girls, wear your long flowing skirts and buns in your hair with the biggest of smiles!! Love your family, and uphold your standards. I know the doubts and discouragements... but remember God has made someone just for you!! He is looking for a young lady, just like you.
Dare to be like Daniel in the Bible. If your a saved young Girl, you are a Daughter of the King!! Stand apart from the crowd, and make a difference! You never know how God will bless you!

America needs godly young "Preacher Boys" to stir up our country and turn the people's hearts back to God. Those same young men need godly young women to assist them along the way!!
God has a plan for your life and mine... following His plan is the best thing you can ever do!

Standing by a purpose true,
Heeding God's command,
Honor them, the faithful few!
All hail to Daniel's band!

Dare to be a Daniel,
Dare to stand alone!
Dare to have a purpose firm!
Dare to make it known.

Many mighty men are lost
Daring not to stand,
Who for God had been a host
By joining Daniel's band.

Dare to be a Daniel,
Dare to stand alone!
Dare to have a purpose firm!
Dare to make it known.

God bless,

Happy Birthday Mom!!

My Mother's B-day was on the 25th of this month!!!

Family Event

We went to a restaurant just the other day to celebrate Brandon's High school Graduation... It was pouring rain outside the whole time!!! A rather big T-storm at that!!

In this pic Jeremiah is being, well... Jeremiah? Katey was smiling, right until I took this pic...still, quite interesting!!

Mom and Brandon waiting for the food!!

Yes Jeremiah, The food is coming, soon! What a character!!!!

The candle, seasoning, the bread dipping dish.
The dip was Olive Oil and Balsamic Vinegar... Justin's always telling me to try new things, so, I decided I would try it...

Jeremiah in B&W. (The food must have arrived, look at that smile?!)

My Little Brother Caleb. I'm his "Bestest Buddy" I was 15 when he was born.

When we returned home Mom and Dad presented Brandon with his Diploma... and a gift of $100. This pic is his first initial reaction.

The Graduate!

Dad, the "Principal"

I love you Dad! You are an awesome "Principal".

We had Icecream after, and well, some little peoples got it all over there faces...
Now, I do not know WHY Katey is making that face!!!

That is quite the face... must be cuz the Ice Cream was all gone, what devastation!

Five Months

Tomorrow marks the fifth month of Courtship for Justin and I.
It has been an amazing, faith-building, and memorable five months. We have enjoyed many phone calls, and miraculous get-togethers. I've learned what a treasure my sweetheart is over the summer, and to continually be in thanksgiving to God for Justin. Circumstances and events have re-enforced our friendship and our courtship over and over. My dad's job loss, and other events have caused me to just rely on God... and I have found great encouragement from Justin through it all.

Because of Justin I am learning (slowly but surely) to gain the victory over my worrying nature. To simply trust God. Reading devotions together or over the phone have been priceless, as well as all the times we have prayed together. I have learned alot about Justin through his prayers.

God is Amazing. Even with the trials of the summer, I still am so blessed!!

I am very excited about what these next five months will bring!!

May you have a great day too!

Another Little Miracle

It was Sunday night, We had come home from a terrific service at church and all the "littles" were tucked into bed. The phone began to ring and a smile crept across my face. I picked up and to my delight it was Justin.

After a while he sighed during the conversation, "If there ever was an impossible week for a get-together, well, this is it,"

"But, God has worked out a visit every week! He might still have something for us," I smiled.
"True, but what if we don't see each other?" he asked.
I thought a moment, "Well, then, God must have a reason... but I still think we will have a get-together,"
I could "hear" a smile on the other line, "That's just what I wanted to hear,"

And Guess what everyone??????

Three days later my family and I were heading out to Justin's church to visit/volunteer at their VBS and to have Lunch with his family!!

Caleb and Stephie playing with their toys. It takes us about 35-40 minutes to get to the Muzyka's.

Me Brother and Me Pal... reading "RedWall"

Dad, the dear and devoted Driver.

The VBS!

Katey was quite distressed to be left alone so Mrs. Muzyka "adopted" her.
They are at the Sound booth.

Kids participating in the offering.

The skit. From Left to Right- Trevor, Justin's cousin Leah, and his sister Jessica

Jessica "switching on" the Time Machine.

Look at the lights flashing away!

Justin took My parents out for Brunch, but I had to stay at the VBS (just kidding ) ... But they all said that they enjoyed getting to know each other better. I was glad that he got to spend some time with my parents, considering I had a few weeks before went out with his parents for a couple hours. The rest of the day though, I got to see him, and five other little peoples too tagged along too..... but that is a much longer tale to tell!!!!!

"Hello, My names is..."

Well, the shirt is self explanatory... :)

Kate having fun "fishing"

Justin's Aunt Jackie.

Blowing Bubbles!

At the Muzyka's house! The Mom's Making Lunch.

Having grilled cheese.

Justin preparing the drinks.

"Please, no pictures,"

Hey, it was Caleb's birthday!! He turned five that day!
He said, "That was the best birthday ever!"

My sweetheart and I.

God bless, Rebecca.

The Butterfly

My dad found this little butterfly, the poor thing was fluttering about helplessly... We placed it on a flower and let it enjoy it's last few hours of glorious beauty. If God can create something as beautiful as this here on earth, Imagine what Heaven will be like!! And the glories of Heaven will not quickly fade away.

How sweet this bond of perfectness,
The wondrous love of Jesus;
A pure foretaste of heaven’s bliss,
Oh, fellowship so precious!

The DragonFly

I went out to the front porch to go look for my brother Collin... and saw this little guy on the step. I tried to see if I could touch him. He flew up and landed on my skirt! So, gently I took him in my hand. I opened the door and called my sister to "get my camera!!!"

He stayed for about 10 minutes before he took flight. I find these creatures absolutely fascinating! Not only are they colorful and amazing but the best part is.... they EAT my Nemesis for dinner!!

Yes, that nasty little mosquito is the main course!

Yup, Dragonflies are my friends!!

...oh, I did find my brother...eventually :)

God Bless,

10 days till I start school!!!!
